- Here is what I need:
-
- I am using the LaTeX command \footnotetext to keep the footnote mark
- from being generated in the text and to keep the footnote counter from
- being incremented. When I use this option I don't want a number to
- appear in the footnote area either. The list of nine footnote symbols
- available using the \fnsymbol command do not include blank. I wrote
- a tiny style file that tried to change the \@fnsymbol def (from latex.tex)
- to a blank but that didn't work. I also tried to pull a macro called
- \thanksu out from another style file and modify it but it did not put
- the text at the start of the non-raised portion of the footnote area.
- Any ideas?
-
- Thanks,
- JAF
