- I have two questions, both of which I believe to be fairly simply answered,
- but I can't find the answers in the TeXbook or in anything on the net.
-
- 1. How do you define a slanted font based on a normal roman font? I'm using
- dvips, and want to use a slanted version of bookman (9pt) for the slanted
- font. I think this should be a simple modification of the \font command, but
- can't find the commands to use to change the slant, or even to do something
- from the book like make a non-slanted italic font.
-
- 2. How do you define a two-column mode in plain TeX (not LaTeX please)? I
- suppose it has something to do with \hsize and \vsize, but don't know any
- more than that. If I'm missing a well-known macro, let me know.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Loren
