When installing System 7 on our Macs recently, on one of the
machines we seem to be getting problems with the kind of the
font used in the text and log windows. As explained in the
TexTures User's Guide, the default font should be Monaco 9.
I am getting however a boldish italic 20 pt like font, where
the backslash is shown as ``, { like - } like the ff ligature,
> as an inverted ? and < as an inverted !.

When Texing the document, everything comes out correctly on
the preview window and on the printer.

Did anybody on the net experience a similar problem or have
a hint about what is going wrong?
B.T.W. when I choose "by hand" any other Monaco size or
another font via the Font... command in the Edit menu,
everything is allright.
