- We just installed Orchid's Fahrenheit 1280 superVGA accelerator card in
- a Z386/25 to have faster times in Windows 3.1, and I'd like advice from
- any war-torn users of same. We have a Z1492 monitor, so the only switch
- I changed from the default setting was SW1-2, since this beast won't do
- much else than a vert scan of 60. Some of the other jumpers posed questions
- I wasn't sure about, like will your machine support add-in cards with zero
- wait states (Zds machines usually do, as I recall) and one about ROM BIOS
- shadowing being de-activated. I left those alone. Should I have changed the
- settings? After one day of install, we haven't had anything major happen
- any differently, but I was curious about those two jumpers. Thanks!
-
- Oh, and it *is* faster. PageMaker redraws are now almost a pleasure!
