  13. This posting is only relevant to you folks who have some used Sun
  14. equipment you'd like to sell, if you're within 100 miles of Boston.

  16. I'm interested in doing some home UNIX hacking, and would like
  17. to pick up a used Sun.  I figure there ought to be quite a few
  18. obsolete (or nearly so) systems out there that folks would like
  19. to unload for a bit of cash.

  21. Here's what I'm looking for, in order of preference:

  31. 3/60 M    4 meg        under $ 800,    will pay $ 650
  32. 3/80 C    4 meg        under $ 900,    will pay $ 700
  33. 3/80 M    4 meg        under $ 800,    will pay $ 650
  34. SLC  M   16 meg        under $1400,    will pay $1000
  35. SS1+ M/C  8 meg        under $1900,    will pay $1500
  36. SS1  M/C  8 meg        under $1600,    will pay $1200
  37. 3/110C    8 meg,scsi    under $ 700,    will pay $ 550
  38. 3/140M    8 meg,scsi    under $ 700,    will pay $ 550

  41. *  yes, I know that a stock 3/50 only accommodates 4 meg.  I
  42.    wouldn't even touch a 3/50 unless it had one of those add-on
  43.    4 or 8-meg memory expansions that were sold for 3/50s a few
  44.    years ago.

  48. 141/60 shoebox        under $ 500,    will pay $ 350
  49. 327/60 shoebox        under $ 900,    will pay $ 800
  50. 210 meg 3.5" internal    under $ 325,    will pay $ 250
  51. 105 meg 3.5" internal    under $ 150,    will pay $ 100

  53. All CPUs must include monitor & frame buffer - either mono or
  54. color - in good condition, and a fully functional keyboard and
  55. mouse (no disintegrating mouse pads).

  57. Monitor in "good condition" means minimal phosphor burns, good
  58. image focus, bright enough to see in normal room lighting.

  60. Companies/Corporations are quite welcome to respond, but I'm only
  61. looking for *one* system.  I can't take your entire inventory of
  62. old 3/50s or 3/110s, but I might buy one!

  64. I'd prefer to inspect the equipment before purchase, so it'd be
  65. nice if you're within a 50 mile radius of Boston.  I'd consider
  66. a longer drive if you've got an exceptional deal.  If you're
  67. more than 100 miles away, that's just too far, and I'm sorry you
  68. wasted your time reading this message...but I *did* try to limit
  69. distribution to Massachusetts.
