- Hello.
-
- I have a problem with dialup connection with my Sun. Hope anybody would help me.
-
- Configuration:
-
- SPARCstation 1 with Hayes ULTRA 144 on ttya.
-
- /etc/ttytab looks like:
- ttya "/usr/etc/getty D9600" dialup on remote
-
- /etc/gettytab looks like:
- #
- # 9600 baud dial-up terminal
- #
- D9600|Fast-Dial-9600:\
- :nx=D2400:p8:tc=9600-baud:
- 2|std.9600|9600-baud:\
- :sp#9600:
-
- PC - Toshiba 2200SX with SmartOne Traveller 9624 faxmodem.
-
-
- Problem:
-
- Connection between modems on 2400 but when I use stty command after connection
- I receive 9600 baud. So I think speed autodetection doesn't work.
-
- If I send BREAK on login: SunOS switch to 2400 and then I receive only garbage
- on the screen.
-
- Why it so bother me it's because when I try quicly scroll long text (man for example)
- I can see normally only one half of the screen. The rest part of looks like some
- letters were dropped. I think it's because symbols sent to terminal faster than
- it ready to receive them. When I try to set up speed 2400 (stty 2400) I receive only
- garbage.
-
- Help me, please.
-
- Andrei.
