- Here's the answer to your problem.... I suspect....

-
- | I wonder if anybody (maybe even from SUN) could comment on the following problem:
- |
- | I am running the xnews server on a SPARCstation 2 under SUNOS 4.1.1 with GX
- | board. The xnews server is from the OpenWindows 3.0 distribution from SUN.
- |
- | When I try to popup an "hpterm" from a HP Snake, nothing seems top happen, i.e.
- | the hpterm never pops up on the xnews screen.

-
- This problem has been reported to Sun but has not been fixed at the time.
- The Sun bug id# is 1076332. Call Sun so and ask them to provide a patch.
-
- Tools using the HP Motif 1.1 library hang for 15 minutes when they attempt
- to connect to the server supplied with OpenWindows 3.0. This problem does
- not occur with the MIT X11R4 server or the OpenWindows 2.0 X11/NeWS server.
-
- Setting the following resource in the X11/NeWS server will resolve
- this problem:
-
- <client>*useColorObj: false
-
- NOTE: This workaround is not supported. It may cease to prevent the
- problem in the future.
