- I heard that in the PC world there is not The Local Bus, but
- a couple of them. Probably at least one per vendor ;-)

- What you are referring to is a unbuffered inter-chip bus.
- This is how the SBus started out. Later it got buffers and
- was upgraded to a bus that can accept connectors.

- For the SPARCstation 10 and the 600MPs, the Mbus plays the
- role of the "local bus". The TI Viking can directly connect
- to this bus (buffers on chip), but the clock rate is not
