- I would like to stretch my thinnet out to a bit more than 600 feet, and
- would like to know which would work best from a price/performance
- standpoint.
-
- Option 1:
- Add a second ethernet Sbus card to our Sparc 2 server, and split
- the thinnet up into two segments of a little over 300 feet.
-
- Option 2:
- Add on to the end of the thinnet a converter to thick or 10BaseT
- and keep going.
-
- Option 3:
- Put a small thick or 10BaseT segment in the middle of the net
- to connect two thinnet segments.
-
- I'm inclined to go with option 1, as it will cost us $331.
- Thanks

- Opinionated and tunnel-visioned? Darn right. But then, my employer really
- doesn't know what I'm talking about anyway...
