  14. We`re trying to install a second parallel printer on a Sun 386i.
  15.  
  16. We've got the card installed (configured at AT address 287, IRQ 5).
  17.  
  18. I've copied the existing line in the config file that describes the first
  19. printer, and simply changed it to reflect the second.  In other words,
  20. there was already a line that looked like this:

  22.    device  pp0 at atio ? csr 0x378 irq 7 priority 2
  23.  
  24. and I've added a line that looks like this:
  25.  
  26.    device  pp1 at atio ? csr 0x278 irq 5 priority 2
  27.  
  28. The resulting kernel gets partway through booting, then gives the following
  29. message:

  31.     Jul 28 14:26:53 faraday panic: pp: too many units
  32.  
  33. It then traps and dies.
