- (My apologies if you're seeing this twice)
-
- We`re trying to install a second parallel printer on a Sun 386i.
-
- We've got the card installed (configured at AT address 287, IRQ 5).
-
- I've copied the existing line in the config file that describes the first
- printer, and simply changed it to reflect the second. In other words,
- there was already a line that looked like this:
-
- device pp0 at atio ? csr 0x378 irq 7 priority 2
-
- and I've added a line that looks like this:
-
- device pp1 at atio ? csr 0x278 irq 5 priority 2
-
- The resulting kernel gets partway through booting, then gives the following
- message:
-
- Jul 28 14:26:53 faraday panic: pp: too many units
-
- It then traps and dies.
-
- Any suggestions would be appreciated... Thanks in advance...
