  14. I wonder if anyone knows of printers that satisfy (ideally all, but it's
  15. not a perfect world!) the following requirements:

  17. - 600 dpi
  18. - Postscript level 2
  19. - >=8 pages per minute (ppm) - 16 ppm preferred
  20. - expandable to lots of memory (32Mb?)
  21. - Ethernet and serial/Appletalk ports, with autoswitching (autosensing?
  22.   whatever it's called these days - namely the ability to be plugged in to
  23.   both a serial and Ethernet network and to decide on which port stuff is
  24.   coming in and deal with it).
  25. - <= $10000.-

  27. If you know about such a device, can you give impressions on the
  28. reliability (indeed, availability!) of software that allows submission of
  29. print jobs from Ethernet and from Appletalk (Macs)? This printer
  30. would be used by both platforms.

  33. be greatly appreciated - especially if sent by email! :-) I will post a
  34. summary of replies.
