  12. We have been having problems getting a diskless Sun 3/50 to boot from
  13. a Sun 3/260 both of which are running SunOS 4.0.3.  The client has the
  14. server's and its own IP address and appears to download the boot.sun3
  15. file.  Then we get the following error messages:

  17.         Boot: RPC call failed (status 7)
  18.         Boot: bad dialog with bootparam server (error 0x07)
  19.         Boot: unable to mount root (error 0x07)
  20.         root on  fstype
  21.         Boot:

  23. We are not running DNS or NIS.  We have tried both long and short
  24. names for the server and client in the /etc/ethers, /etc/bootparams,
  25. /etc/hosts, and /etc/exports files.  Any ideas?
