- Hiya,
-
- Here's my problem, I have a SUN IPC with 8mb RAM and the 208mb
- internal, my swap partition is 32mb and /home is 32mb. What I want to do
- is repartition my swap space and create a new 16mb filesystem and a 16mb
- swap space. I will then use the 32mb that is currently mounted on /home
- for a /usr/local filesystem and give the 16mb from swap for a /home.
-
- Is this a good/bad idea? I know the real answer is to get more disk but
- unfortunately this will have to wait for $$. Will 24mb virtual mem be enough
- to run single user with not much going on?
-
- Any tips on how I can go about doing this without hosing my system will be
- muchly appreciated!
-
- Thanx Paul
