- our SUN IPC under OS 4.1.2, and it is _not_ working.
- Any help would be greatly appreciated.
-
- The details:
- The slip version we are working with is
- 4.1.Beta. This was reccomended to us by the kind folks
- at cerf.net, but they did not have any problems installing,
- and so can't help out with ours.
- Symptons: no error messages building new kernel.
- The remote machine does not respond to the command
- "slip-attach" invoked on our local machine.
- The connection is initially made with tip to a dial-in
- line through Telebit T3000s. After all of the initial
- login gibberish, we invoke slip on cerf.net, then espcae
- to the local machine with ~C slip-attach /dev/tty?? 9600 123.45.6.7
- 132.432.54.65 255.255.255.0
-
- The two IP numbers are ours and thiers; we use the real ones...
- There is no explanation for the mask number, could this be it?
-
- The terminal we use corresponds to the one for the window in which
- our open look virtual terminal is running. The speed is
- 9600 bps, to our telebit over a serial line, so there is no
- network to slow it down.
-
- Any ideas? Please respond to orca@cerf.net
