  26. servo error probably means a hardware problem.  If anything can
  27. fix it short of having the drive repaired, it would be issuing
  28. the SCSI format command (which will also wipe the disk).  Past
  29. experience with this drive says that you almost certainly have
  30. a chip problem on the drive electronics, and the format won't
  31. help, at least, not for long.
