- Thanks for the amusing and interesting replies to my query
- about NIS. I had not known that NIS is the new name for
- the old yellow pages system (I'm running 4.0.3).

- Regarding NFS not being secure, did you know that there
- is at least one NFS package for MSDOS PC's that asks the
- user to actually type in the UID and GID numbers for the client
- to use in NFS transfers? Mmmmm, that's nasty.
