- Excuse me if this is FAQ. . .

- We recently got in a shipment of 36 sun workstations, and I'm trying
- to track down a suitable screen blanking utility for them (ELCs and IPXes). It
- has to be something that can run in rc.local, so it will blank regardless of
- whether or not someone is logged in.

- The Sun folks have said screenblank should NOT be run in rc.local, and
- should be killed when a person logs out, making it's installation a rather
- pointless gesture at best.

- The faculty here are not going to bother using xlock through the menus,
- but they ARE likely to complain when their screen is burnt to a crisp. . .
