- Hi, I just set up outgoing uucp from our SGI machine running IRIX 4.0.3.
- This seems to work fine for outgoing calls, but I'd like to receive
- incoming calls too. So, my question is:
- a. Is there a script that automatically edits inittab to do the right thing?
- and reverts it to what it was once its done? Ideally, I'd like the default
- mode to be with the getty running ready to receive incoming calls. Then every
- hour or so, the outgoing uucp called from cron turns the getty off, and does
- its thing. Right now, I have to manually do this which is a pain.
-
- b. Is there a way to send an initialization string to a modem
- device from inittab/gettydefs? (with delays etc.)
-
- Thanks much.
