  27. Any chance of getting ahold of such a script as the one mentioned
  28. above, Dave?  I'm still chasing this tiger's tail...

  30. Here's the situation:  Personal Iris 4D/35 running Irix 4.0.1 with no
  31. problems and a serial cable hanging off of serial port 2 going to a
  32. server-jet haning on an HP LaserJet III.  All of our other SGIs can
  33. connect via remote printer connection using the vadmin printer tool
  34. and all of these print, work, and play quite nicely together.  On the
  35. horizon looms CAP6.0, PCNFS, and the modified Clarkson University TCP
  36. package. 'PIPS' is a 'remote printer' set up on pi which looks to
  37. (where else?) pi to print to the local printer 'pips'.  This was a 
  38. kludge in an attempt to get lpr to print something.  I've been changing
  39. the printcap file A LOT, trying different things.

  41. After trying a multitude of things with lpr, here's where I stand:

  44. waiting for queue to be enabled on pi.eai.iastate.edu
