  13. I'm looking for animation/video production software that would run on a 340GTX
  14. (Irix 4.0.4); something equivalent to the Wavefront Visualizer, for example.
  15. Desirable features include:
  16.  
  17. * extensive drawing tools (plus text generation),
  18. * special effects (fades, software texture mapping, etc.), 
  19. * ability to import various image/object formats (DXF, GIF, etc.),
  20. * easy-to-use, interactive animation tools,
  21. * interface to video boards and tape decks,
  22. * reliable customer support (upgrades, etc.)
  23.  
  24. I'd appreciate it if anyone could suggest some products that they've had
  25. experience with, along with information on who to contact.
  26.  
  27. (We're a university research group working on computer vision and we frequently
  28. need to present our results on video; this usually involves image sequences
  29. with graphics overlays, 3D animation, and charts. We're looking to do some
  30. evaluation at our site and may make a purchase in the next few months.)
