- Along the same lines, I have a program written by someone else that
- I am studying that runs distributed on a Sun network. It is using
- rstat, which is supposed to measure the load on a remote kernel.
- rstat returns a structure of stuff, but it looks like the only thing
- the program is using is 'avenrun'. I did a man on rstat and rstatd,
- looked at the include files on rstat and rstatd, even got on archie
- and looked but I can't find ANY DOCUMENTATION AT ALL on rstatd!
-
- What gets me is that the man pages say that such statistics are
- provided such as cpu usage, memory usage, swap info, etc on a remote
- kernel but in the include file there is no docs on what each member
- of the rstat structure mean! Does anyone have any info at all on
- this and will you please e-mail to me?? I really need some
- information on this and would appreciate it so much if someone could
- help me out.
-
- Thanks in advance,
