  13. Having a problem with fxp0 ethernet interface (efast) on a 4D380s
  14. running irix4.0.1.  Everytime I try to use the fxp0 interface the
  15. machine crashes.  I've had a call open with Nihon Silicon Graphics
  16. for 2 months.

  42. Whenever I use efast it crashes with message:

  48.    ipi1d8: software detected fatal error.  c/h/s = 3/1/18  (retrying)

  51. Someone from SGI told me I have obsolete firmware on one the Xylogics
  52. controllers.  I told NSG that (2 months ago).  Could this be causing
  53. the efast interface not to work ?  or is that a seperate problem ?
  54. Note that the system disk is SCSI unit 1 on controller 0.
