- In response to Dave Ciemiewicz's questions on VOGL and X
-
- Our group does a fair amount of GL development yet we have a limited number
- of SGI workstations. We use VOGLE and a homegrown more complete gl
- renderer to render on Sparc's and HP's under X. This has proven very valuable.
- VOGL is slow (our more complete gl is even slower) but, they do allow us to
- test out code and perform simple renderings. This has been a great time
- saver for us. Of course for demos & animations we use the SGI.
