  12. running Personal Iris (4D25), Personal Iris Turbo (4D35TG) and Indigo/
  13. Entry and IRIX 4.0.1 I have noticed that the blink color always remains 
  14. black.

  16. The effect can be shown by SGI's "blinker" demo in /usr/people/4Dgifts/
  17. examples/glpg/ch04/blinker which is intended to blink an initially white
  18. bar to red. However, white is blinked to black.

  20. To get this demo running properly, insert "gflush();" after the mapcolor
  21. instruction.

  23. Although the man page says "blink is not supported on Iris Indigo" this
  24. demo blinks on the machines mentioned above equally well and on all
  25. machines with the blink color being black irrespective to what color it
  26. is set.

  28. I would be very grateful for any workarounds or hints. We need the blink
  29. feature to run our 3.3.2 programs.
