  12. I also would like to be able to display gl output on an X device. In order
  13. to get this functionality, I would knowingly give up the interactivity that
  14. comes with gl on an Iris.

  16. We need to display (2-D, grey-scale, x-ray-like) images that are computed
  17. on our Iris on Macs that sit in physician's offices.

  19. This is a matter of using existing hardware (Macs with MacX). We simply
  20. can't replace our Macs with Indigos (just to display static 2-D images).
