- I'm trying to restrict access to filesystems mounted on
- an Elan running 4.0.5. This machine is my primary nameserver
- and is connected to the Internet. I'm not running NIS so
- no netgroups.
-
- A basically wide-open /etc/exports similar to this works ok:
-
- /usr/local/sysmgr -root=humbert,lolita #/usr/local separate filesystem
- /usr/local/lib/faces -ro
- /usr/spool/news #/usr/spool/news separate filesystem
-
- But if I explicitly name hosts to which I want to export:
-
- /usr/spool/news -access=humbert:lolita
-
- (or)
-
- /usr/spool/news humbert lolita
-
- I can't mount the filesystem on either/any machine.
-
- I've experimented with /etc/exports on a Convex and on
- a IRIX 3.3.3 machine and am pretty sure that I know what
- I'm doing (I can make it work with them!).
