- | Sorry if this is a FAQ .. but is there a maximum SCSI cable length ?
- | I have 3 external devices - 1/4 " tape, a CDROM drive and an optical disk.
- | They are daisy-chained to my 4D35 wtih 6 ft, 4 ft and 5 ft cables
- | respectively. Also there is a 170 mb internal SCSI drive and a 750 mb SCSI
- | drive in the top bay of the 35. Should this be a problem ?
-
- 6 meters max, and the closer to the max you push it, the more problems
- you are likely to have. You are at or over the limit, since there is aprox
- 4 ft of cable internal to the 35, and you may have more cable in the
- other device enclosures.
-
- Also, the more connectors you have, the more likely you are to have
- a problem, and you have quite a few of them ;)
