- As far as the problem with the serial port... it reminded me of the problem
- I had with my serial port when I first got it. I tried to connect and
- transfer using a PC and a serial cable. I was trying to transfer from
- my PC to the LX. I had a nightmare. I tried using Xmodem, Kermit, anything.
- Nothing worked. It would send a few blocks, then send an hours worth of
- "bad Blocks," one more good block, 30 minutes of bad blocks... etc. Very
- frustrating. I tried every possible combination of cables, connectors, etc.
- thinking it might be a wiring problem. I tried all kinds of block sizes/
- software configurations. No good.
-
- Finally, I tried to send a file FROM the LX TO the PC. Magic, worked like
- it was supposed to. After that, all transfers in either direction worked
- perfectly. No more problems to date.
-
- It only happened the *very first* time I tried to transfer information... and
- I tried to transfer FROM the PC to the LX first.
-
- Moral of the story: Make up your own morals.
