  15. As far as the problem with the serial port... it reminded me of the problem
  16. I had with my serial port when I first got it.  I tried to connect and
  17. transfer using a PC and a serial cable.  I was trying to transfer from 
  18. my PC to the LX.  I had a nightmare.  I tried using Xmodem, Kermit, anything.
  19. Nothing worked.  It would send a few blocks, then send an hours worth of
  20. "bad Blocks," one more good block, 30 minutes of bad blocks... etc.  Very
  21. frustrating.  I tried every possible combination of cables, connectors, etc.
  22. thinking it might be a wiring problem.  I tried all kinds of block sizes/
  23. software configurations.  No good.

  25. Finally, I tried to send a file FROM the LX TO the PC.  Magic, worked like
  26. it was supposed to.  After that, all transfers in either direction worked
  27. perfectly.  No more problems to date.

  29. It only happened the *very first* time I tried to transfer information... and
  30. I tried to transfer FROM the PC to the LX first.
