- I am not sure if this it the exactly correct newsgroup for this request
- but have not been able to find a better one.
-
- There are now many personal and business organizers on the market. I
- have not found one that matches very many of my criteria.
-
- Here is what I want:
-
- Required: very small profile, needs to fit in front jeans pocket.
- Ideal: fits in wallet.
- Ideal: very flat.
- Ideal: can withstand pressure of being in back pocket.
- Ideal: screen larger than 24 characters
- Ideal: fold open keyboard for faster typing.
-
- Required: Has "lots" of memory. >= 8K characters
- Ideal: >= 64K characters
-
- Required price: <$500
-
- Required functionality: Can enter text.
- Ideal: Can organize text by categories.
- Ideal: Can search for substrings in the text
-
- I do not want any other functionality. This unit does not have to have a
- calculator, metric converter, scheduler, alarm, computer interface ...
-
- It is intended solely for entering notes to myself.
-
- The Seiko Instruments SII Personal Organizer and Executive Organizer are
- at least in the ballpark but they have memory, size, and flatness limitations.
-
- Does anyone know of a unit that matches better?
-
- Is this out of the range of current technology or interest?
-
- I will be happy to summarize if this request generates any interest.
