  14. I am not sure if this it the exactly correct newsgroup for this request
  15. but have not been able to find a better one.

  17. There are now many personal and business organizers on the market.  I
  18. have not found one that matches very many of my criteria.

  20. Here is what I want:

  22. Required: very small profile, needs to fit in front jeans pocket.
  23.   Ideal: fits in wallet.
  24.   Ideal: very flat.
  25.   Ideal: can withstand pressure of being in back pocket.
  26.   Ideal: screen larger than 24 characters
  27.   Ideal: fold open keyboard for faster typing.
  28.  
  29. Required: Has "lots" of memory.  >= 8K characters
  30.   Ideal: >= 64K characters
  31.  
  32. Required price: <$500
  33.  
  34. Required functionality: Can enter text.
  35.   Ideal: Can organize text by categories.
  36.   Ideal: Can search for substrings in the text
  37.  
  38. I do not want any other functionality.  This unit does not have to have a
  39. calculator, metric converter, scheduler, alarm, computer interface ...
  40.  
  41. It is intended solely for entering notes to myself.

  43. The Seiko Instruments SII Personal Organizer and Executive Organizer are
  44. at least in the ballpark but they have memory, size, and flatness limitations.

  46. Does anyone know of a unit that matches better?

  48. Is this out of the range of current technology or interest?
