  12. What has been a reliable 2.15c SFT in the past is now spuriously getting this
  13. "fatal dir error" on several diferent volumes. TFM indicates it could be 
  14. anything on God's green earth causing it. Does anyone have any experience
  15. in this problem. Here is the general description:

  17.  generic 386-25 w/ 9mb
  18.  2 micropolis ESDI 330mb ( seem to run awful hot for a long time )
  19.  UltraStor controller several years old
  20.  3Com 505 NIC
  21.  
  22. the workstations are on 10Base-T hubs.
  23. the server is on coax segments connecting the hubs
  24.  
  25. Does not seem to be load related, have transaction tracking off.
  26.  
  27. Directories could be somewhat large.
