- vertical-refresh timing dependent (to scroll smoothly relative to the
- scanning frequency of the monitor), so there may be intentional wait
- states to synchronize and ensure smooth retracing. Horizontal SplitViews,
- obviously, do not suffer this problem, since they track with the scanning
- beam.
