- Recently, when I turn my machine on, I get an unusual "grunt" from my
- disk, and the boot status panel tells me "SCSI error". If I go to rom
- monitor mode and try to boot by hand, I get the same error. This has
- happened only the last three times I've powered on, and in all cases I was
- able to avoid the error by powering down and back up again; on the second
- attempt everything worked fine.
-
- I usually leave my machine on all the time, but I powered down a few times
- over the weekend because I wanted the quiet.
-
- Has anyone else seen this error before, and if so, did you end up buying a
- new disk soon thereafter? :-(
