  11. Recently, when I turn my machine on, I get an unusual "grunt" from my  
  12. disk, and the boot status panel tells me "SCSI error". If I go to rom  
  13. monitor mode and try to boot by hand, I get the same error. This has  
  14. happened only the last three times I've powered on, and in all cases I was  
  15. able to avoid the error by powering down and back up again; on the second  
  16. attempt everything worked fine.

  18. I usually leave my machine on all the time, but I powered down a few times  
  19. over the weekend because I wanted the quiet.

  21. Has anyone else seen this error before, and if so, did you end up buying a  
  22. new disk soon thereafter? :-(
