  20. Good idea, but you would have to have a box that transformed that raw  
  21. bitstream from the CD player and turned it into the proper output on a  
  22. SCSI bus.  I've never heard of such a thing being sold separately, and if  
  23. it did, it might cost more than you're saving.
  24. Or, you can always use your NeXT CD-ROM player as an audio player (it has  
  25. a headphone jack and can be controlled via software to play audio CD's)
