- I've had problems getting my 44 MB Syquest to work at my NeXT cube for a year
- now - it drove me crazy. After I read this posting I tried booting from the
- Optical Disk - It worked. I could use the Syquest drive without problems.
-
- Using exactly the same configuration but booting from the internal Maxtor
- XT-8380S drive locked up the boot process after about 30 seconds.
-
- I was in touch with Syquest about this issue several months ago. I'll
- contact them again and tell them that this problem is specific to Maxtor
- drives. If they come up with a solution I'll post it.
-
- A word about Syquest: I found their technical support and their service
- excellent.
