- Has anyone out there in Netland managed to get NIS to work on a LAN of
- WGS 6386/25's (or similar) served by a StarServer E over StarLAN?
-
- It seems that I'm not the only one with this problem. The StarServer E
- dumps core when I do a
-
- ypserv
-
- And, on the same matter, where in the world is the documentation for
- NIS for AT&T SVR4? The "Network User's and Administrator's Guide" makes
- no mention of NIS.
-
- If NIS just don't work, is there an alternative? Like maybe a kludge using
- RFS?
-
- Thanks muchly in advance.
