  15. Has anybody experience in putting a 2.88 MB floppy disk drive on a Magnum
  16. workstation RS3230?  The Machine has an Intel 82072 floppy disk controller
  17. and the device driver in the kernel currently supports 720 kB and 1.44 MB
  18. densities.  The parameters for these modes are kept in one of the kernel
  19. configuration tables (/usr/src/uts/mips/master.d/fl: fldisktypes[] = {...}).

  21. My questions are:
  22.     - does the Intel 82072 support 2.88 MB drives?
  23.     - does the RS3230 hardware support this?
  24.  
  25. If so, I could add an entry to fldisktypes[], specifying the apropriate
  26. parameters for a 2.88 MB drive, generate a new kernel, boot it and it should
  27. work...?
