  12. Hello,
  13. we just set up Quadra 950, and installed extra 16 MB to bank C.  When we
  14. started it, it played a strange one chord sound, and then started up very
  15. nicely.  It plays the same sound after every restart, but works properly,
  16. and shows 24 MB of RAM, that are installed on it.  It's fine in general,
  17. the only suspicious problem IMHO is the sound.  It's practically the same,
  18. as when the memory is not installed properly, but it does not show sad mac
  19. icon, like in other Macs.  So my question is - is Quadra 950 supposed to
  20. play this sound on startup, or something is wrong with it?

  22. 2. Another problem is that something is wrong with the Network cdev. When I
  23. tried to open it, it said, that "Network control panel is installed
  24. improperly.
  25. Please reinstall it, and restart your computer."  I did it, but it had the
  26. same result. Quadra is not connected to network yet (the Apple Ethernet
  27. port is incompatible with thick, or thin, or 10BaseT), but cdev has to open
  28. nevertheless. Any advises or suggestions?
