- Several Macintoshes around here have recently had system 7
- installed, and a few people are having problems. In each case
- it's a IIsi that's unhappy; I don't know the details of each machine,
- but other models seem to work happily enough.
-
- Has anyone else encountered this sort of thing? The worst case
- is just across the hall from me. The machine had been crashing
- each morning on startup; then, yesterday, she tried changing the
- window border colors using the colors control panel, and now it
- will not start up at all. The happy mac icon appears, but nothing
- more occurs, until we eventually give up. She has managed to
- boot from a floppy disk with System 6, so data is salvageable, but
- this is not very helpful.
-
- I can get more detailed information if needed; at the moment, I'm
- wondering if anyone else has encountered this or if it's unique to
- my department. Please send me email, because I don't get to
- read this group very often. Thanks!
