  16. Try deleting the Word Settings (5) file in the Preferences folder 
  17. in the System folder. (Word will rebuild a new one, with all 
  18. default settings. Thus, you lose your customization, if any. This 
  19. is one good reason for always keeping a backup of a known good 
  20. Settings file once you have customized Word heavily.)
