- So why are you yelling at one of the few people from Apple who actually
- monitors the groups and tries to help? From an earlier post by bill coderre:
-
- Apple Computer, Inc, does not monitor the Usenet for complaints. It
- does not officially provide technical support on the Usenet. All it
- does is blithely overlook the fact that some of its employees read and
- post to the Usenet.
-
- If you want to get anything done then contact the Apple Customer Assistance
- Center.

- [more from bill coderre]
-
- You may also call them at 1-800-776-2333 or 1-408-996-1010 (apple
- operator, ask to be transferred).
-
- Those people there are the ones officially empowered to respond to
- your complaints. They will keep track of your complaints, write you
- letters back, and even tell management when there are a lot of
- complaints about a particular problem.
-
- This same responsiveness does NOT extend to the Usenet. No one at
- Apple is entitled to reply to your complaints as "Apple Computer,
- Inc." No one keeps track of your complaints. No one tells management.
-
- The few Apple employees who do read and post here are deluded enough
- into thinking that they can help people with problems.
-
- So lay off the Apple people here, and if you want to complain, do it where it
- will do some good, okay?
