- I did install the TuneUp 1.1.1. I also removed TrueType. But... they
- do almost 100% of the printing in draft mode!!

- The database was timed in our office using the offending CX vs. a
- known-working LC. The CX was always about 5% faster in loading than
- the LC, as I would expect. I don't think the problem is due to System
- 7, since I tried booting the CX with a System 6 floppy, and it was
- still slow, yet the SE in its place, using the same network,
- connectors, etc.., was fast!

-
- I am the developer's tech support folks!! :) (I'm head of the dept.,
- and I've never had anything quite so mytifying!). The upgrade only
- adds features relating to form printing and other non-performance
- features. It's 32-bit clean, and our recommended configuration is now
- System 7, since we have done extensive testing and performance
- measurements (much better performance than TOPS).

- TOPS is a headache compared with System 7. It also requires a $$
- upgrade, whereas System 7 networking is free.

-
- Loads are identical. The questions is, why does the SE load across the
- network in 45 seconds, while the CX loads in about 5minutes, using
- identical network hardware; and... why does the CX function perfectly
- when removed from this office? UGGGGHH!!!
-
- Thanks for answering... I hope this is as mystifying to all the other
- reads as it is to me! :)
