- Question from a friend which has me stumped
- I think I've seen something you can do about this but can't remember where or
- what.
- ---------
- I have 8 Megs of RAM on a Mac II with system 6.05 and I'm often running
- into printing problems: error -42 (too many files open). Some programs
- just say "can't open printer". If I close some files, printing works
- again. However this is very annoying. Is there a way to increase the
- maximum number of files simultaneously open. I know that one can set the
- number of windows. But the number of files?
- ---------
- Thanks in advance
