- This may be a frequently asked question...
-
- muller_d@elgc.epfl.ch (Daniel Mueller) writes (slightly reformatted):
-
- >On startup, if you hold the keys OPTION+COMMAND+SHIFT+BACKSPACE depressed
- >the internal SCSI drive, normally ID=0, is not mounted. This solution is
- >easier than to pop the case on your machine. This tips works on all Mac
- >with ADB keyboard.

- In the few months that I am following this newsgroup I have seen a multitude
- of different special key combinations that perform clever functions which
- are (obviously) not intended for casual, unwary users. There appear to be
- combinations to
- - rebuild the desktop file
- - not mount internal hard disk (see above)
- - etc.
-
- Can someone post a list of these goodies that includes suggestions/restric-
- tions/warnings about when (not) to apply them ? Which keyboard types and
- ROM versions does a key combination work on ?
-
- If this is indeed a FAQ, please mail it to me, no need to trouble everyone
- else with it.
