  12. I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but I am thinking about
  13. doing some shareware development in the future and I was wondering:

  15. How many actual payments received constitutes a successful program?
  16.  
  17. How successful have current shareware programs been?
  18.  
  19. How is the response as far as payments and feedback from users?
  20.  
  21. What's the best way to actually get people to pay for what they decide to 
  22. keep?  Crippled Demos?  Honor System?  Guilt?
  23.  
  24. What percentage of copies in use are not payed for(estimate)?
  25.

  27. If I do develop, the money won't be the primary purpose, but I was wondering
  28. if it would be worth it to try and get some payment for the development.
