  27. The Comp.Sys.Mac.Programmer Digest is moderated by Michael A. Kelly.

  29. The digest is a collection of article threads from the internet newsgroup
  30. comp.sys.mac.programmer.  It is designed for people who read c.s.m.p. semi-
  31. regularly and want an archive of the discussions.  If you don't know what a
  32. newsgroup is, you probably don't have access to it.  Ask your systems
  33. administrator(s) for details.  (This means you can't post questions to the
  34. digest.)

  36. Each issue of the digest contains one or more sets of articles (called
  37. threads), with each set corresponding to a 'discussion' of a particular
  38. subject.  The articles are not edited; all articles included in this digest
  39. are in their original posted form (as received by our news server at
  40. cs.uoregon.edu).  Article threads are not added to the digest until the last
  41. article added to the thread is at least one month old (this is to ensure that
  42. the thread is dead before adding it to the digest).  Article threads that
  43. consist of only one message are generally not included in the digest.

  45. The entire digest is available for anonymous ftp from ftp.cs.uoregon.edu
  46. [128.223.8.8] in the directory /pub/mac/csmp-digest.  The most recent issues
  47. are available from sumex-aim.stanford.edu [36.44.0.6] in the directory
  48. /info-mac/digest/csmp.  If you don't have ftp capability, the sumex archive
  49. has a mail server; send a message with the text '$MACarch help' (no quotes)
  50. to LISTSERV@ricevm1.rice.edu for more information.

  52. The digest is also available via email.  Just send a note saying that you
  53. want to be on the digest mailing list to mkelly@cs.uoregon.edu, and you will
  54. automatically receive each new issue as it is created.  Sorry, back issues
  55. are not available through the mailing list.
