  26. Run, do not walk away from MS QuickBASIC.  The last time it was updated was in
  27. 1988.  It is not 32-bit compatible, does not produce 32-bit compatible
  28. software, supports nothing more than the old eight-color QuickDraw model, and
  29. what is more, *still* costs as much as it did in 1988.  How's that for a
  30. run-on sentence?

  32. Unfortunately, you're not going to do much better elsewhere.  The last I've
  33. heard, Zedcor still hasn't updated its ZBasic product (although it was leaps
  34. and bounds better than MS QuickBASIC), and as for True Basic, my only
  35. experience was with the demo, and it wouldn't run under System 7.  Oh yeah;
  36. MS QuickBASIC doesn't work too well with System 7 either.
