- Dear all
-
- During the last 3 months or so I've tried to get upgrades for the softwares
- mentioned above, and at both occasion I've been asked to return the original
- disks to the distributor to verify that I have actually paid for the
- software.
-
- I feel that this shows a great mistrust to the customers from the
- distributors and wonder what others think of the idea. Is it fair or
- are they just trying to make things difficult for the majority of the
- honest customers?
-
- I'm writing this because I did return the disks to SoftLine to get the upgrade
- for Fontographer and the disks were lost in the post (even though it was
- registered and the Post Office is still trying to locate the parcel) and it
- cause me major hassle to get the new version.
-
- If you have similar experiences of getting upgrades I'll like to hear from you.
- You can either post your reply to this newsgroup, to open the discussion, or
- mail me personally and I'll summarise peoples' experiences (good or bad).
-
- In all responses, please include the name of the product and the distributor/
- supplier of the product.
-
- Thanks.
