- I downloaded System 7 Tune-Up last night and installed it on my Mac LC. When I
- restarted my computer, however, a dialog box appeared on the screen stating
- that "Gatekeeper has vetoed an attempt by 'Finder' to violate the 'Res(Self)'
- privledge against 'Finder'." This dialog box appears after almost every
- further file related task that is executed. My investigation into this matter
- yielded the following from the Gatekeeper log:
-
- The program "Finder" violated the Res(Self) privledge by invoking the procedure
- SetResAttrs on its own 'CODE' resource 18. This is a very suspicious operation.
-
- So what's up? I went into Gatekeeper and granted the Finder the Res(Self)
- privledge. Is this necessarily bad? Has anyone else had any similar problems?
- I am currently using Gatekeeper 1.2.1 and System 7 Tune-Up 1.1.1.
