- I work for a software reseller called 800-SOFTWARE. DEC just acquired us.
- My personal perception is that DEC is embarking on the largest restructuring
- in the history of the industry -- going from selling proprietary systems
- (VAX's) at huge margins to a one stop, hardware, software and services
- provider. The 1.8 billion dollar loss was no surprise. What's really
- exciting is DEC's new Alpha chip...
