- Does anyone know the relative merits of checksum vs. CRC for detecting
- error(s) in a block of data? I would like to calculate the probability of
- an undetected error for various block sizes, checksum/CRC word length etc.
- If you know where this type of information can be found, I would
- appreciate hearing from you. I seem to recall reading a Byte article some
- years ago about this subject, but so far, I have not been able to locate
- it.
